ClipDays Left puts the current year on your home screen as a progress ring: how many days have passed, and how many are left. It reads the date from your iPhone, so it is always current and needs no connection.

Widget sizes
- Small: a single number, the days left.
- Medium: the ring with a label.
- Large: the ring with more detail.
How to add it
- Install ClipDays Left from the App Store. It is free, with no account.
- Long-press an empty spot on your home screen and tap +.
- Search for ClipDays Left and pick small, medium or large.
- Tap Add Widget. The year ring is now visible every time you unlock your phone.
Why a widget instead of a reminder
A reminder fires once and is dismissed. A widget is always there, so the number keeps working on you without a notification. You can also count down to any date, such as a trip, a deadline or an exam, and show that on the widget instead of the year.

- Is the year progress widget free?
- Yes. ClipDays Left is free to download and the year progress ring and widgets are part of the free app. An optional one-time lifetime unlock adds all four themes and unlimited personal countdowns. There is no subscription.
- What widget sizes are available?
- Small (a single number), medium (ring and label) and large (ring and detail).
- How often does the widget update?
- Daily. It decrements at midnight, in the background, with no action needed.
- Does the widget need an internet connection?
- No. ClipDays Left uses the device clock and works fully offline.
- Does it work on iPad?
- ClipDays Left is built for iPhone (iOS 17+). Home screen widgets also work on iPadOS 17 and later; there is no native iPad app.
